Inteligencia artificial generativa y su impacto en la educación superior en América Latina

El objetivo del estudio fue analizar el impacto de la inteligencia artificial generativa en la educación superior en América Latina, considerando su influencia en el aprendizaje, la práctica docente, las competencias digitales y los riesgos éticos-académicos. La investigación se desarrolló bajo un enfoque cuantitativo, con alcance descriptivo-correlacional y diseño no experimental de corte transversal. La muestra estuvo conformada por 218 participantes, distribuidos en 187 estudiantes universitarios y 31 docentes de instituciones de educación superior de Ecuador, Bolivia, Perú y Colombia. Para la recolección de datos se aplicó un cuestionario estructurado con escala Likert de cinco niveles, validado por juicio de expertos y con una confiabilidad general de 0,87 mediante alfa de Cronbach. Los resultados evidenciaron una percepción alta sobre el impacto de la IA generativa en el aprendizaje, con una media de 4,27, seguida del uso académico con 4,18 y el apoyo a la práctica docente con 3,94. Además, se identificaron correlaciones positivas entre el uso de IA generativa y el aprendizaje, las competencias digitales y la conciencia sobre riesgos éticos. Se concluye que la IA generativa constituye una herramienta relevante para fortalecer la educación superior latinoamericana, siempre que se integre con orientación crítica, responsabilidad académica y lineamientos institucionales claros.
